Prayer is our place of communication in dialogue and stillness with God our Father. Prayer creates a space for COMMUNION ( COME – UNION) with the purpose of connection, confession, celebration and consolation.
When we enter His gates with PRAISE. We connect to the heart of worship, adoration and surrender to the divine and holy presence. We celebrate with gratitude all that He has done in our lives, we confess the separation we have created by our sin and we commune with him to find our consolation for peace and provision.
When you pray:
- Praise – Enter his gates with praise and thanksgiving. Adoration and praise can be in a song, the holy names of God, the psalms or the characters of God.
- Penance – Confess your sincere sorrow for your sin
- Petition – Make your requests known.
- Provision – Thank God for his Provision
- PEACE – Believe and receive your peace.
And now may you be, “Joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer” (1 Thes 5:18). And may the peace of God which transcends all understanding guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Phil 4:7)
